Meet Our Staff
Hi I'm Sam and I'm the Pre-School Manager and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO). I have been with Abbey as a Practitioner since 2008, and prior to that I was chair of the committee whilst the youngest of my 2 sons attended the preschool. I have been the Manager since 2014 and have brought the Preschool through many changes and improvements, including our most recent Ofsted Inspection. In 2016 graduated from Worcester University with a BA Hons in Professional Practice in Children's Services. Much of my studies had fed into and influenced my practice within the preschool.
HI I'm Becky and I joined Abbey in April 2016. I have lots of Early Years experience within a nursery environment and I have a flair for anything artistic or creative.
I joined Abbey in March 2017 and am loving being part of the team and working with the children. I gained my level 3 qualification and worked as a child minder before training to be a midwife. Whilst this was an enjoyable experience, the hours were irregular and I missed being part of a team and working with children. I like every part of working in the setting and the challenges and rewards it offers.
I'm Chloe and I finished school in July 2016 and joined Abbey in September 2016 as a Level 2 Apprentice. I have always wanted to work with children and I am loving being part of the preschool. I successfully completed my Level 2 and am continuing my placement at Abbey whilst I study for my Level 3.
I have a degree in journalism and gained my Level 3 Childcare Diploma whilst working at Abbey. I have been a member of the team since 2014 and was previously a member of the committee. I returned from maternity leave in January 2017 after having my second child in 2016.
Hi I'm Jenni and I have been with Abbey since 2015, and I am a senior practitioner. I have over 20 years experience within Early Years which began as a Nanny whilst I lived in London. I have one daughter who attends a local secondary school. I enjoy cooking and creative activities.
I have worked at Abbey since February 2017. I have a foundation degree in early years and have worked or volunteered in church groups, schools nurseries and child minding settings to support my studying. I enjoy working at Abbey and being part of a busy setting. I particularly enjoy activities that involve singing and dancing.
I started working at Abbey as a Level 1 Apprentice in 2013 and accepted a permanent position as a Practitioner in early 2016 after completing my Level 2 apprenticeship. I love working with the children and particularly enjoy physical and outdoor activities. I have just enrolled at college to study for my Level 3 diploma, and know that this will further expand on my knowledge and practice within the setting.
